A special formula for the delicate skin around the eyes. The oil-in-water cream is free from emulsifiers. The oil droplets are stabilised solely by a thickening agent.
The only emollient it contains is squalane, a stable derivative of squalene, which occurs naturally in sebum. The similarity of squalane to the hydrolipid film secreted by the epidermis makes it an ingredient that is frequently used in formulations for atopic skin.
Due to these anti-inflammatory properties, squalane is popular with customers with acne, eczema and all types of sensitive skin conditions. Squalane is non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores: it can be used on oily and/or acne-prone skin.
Olive squalane is completely biodegradable. It does not accumulate in the environment and poses no danger to fauna and flora. Olive squalane is part of a sustainable development concept that complies with the principles of green chemistry.
