Tasmanian pepper berry extract
A minimalist formula for sensitive and highly reactive skin. The oil-in-water emulsion is based on a phospholipid emulsifier similar to those found in cell membranes. The formula feels refreshing when applied and provides maximum soothing action.
The only emollient it contains is squalane, a stable derivative of squalene, which occurs naturally in sebum. Due to its similarity to the hydrolipid film secreted by the epidermis, squalane is often used in formulations for atopic skin.
Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, squalane is popular with customers suffering from acne, eczema and all types of sensitising conditions. Squalane is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores: it can be used on oily and/or acne-prone skin.
Olive squalane is completely biodegradable. It does not accumulate in the environment and poses no danger to fauna or flora. Olive squalane is part of a sustainable development approach that complies with the principles of green chemistry.
